England 2011
In June 2011, I flew from Halifax to Heathrow airport. Thus begun my second photographic adventure in Europe. My first was to Ireland in 2008 but I was arguably more of a tourist - I had a digital SLR, but I didn't really know what I was doing. This time I was armed with all my photographic gear (tripod in tow), and I was ready to take all the knowledge and skills I had learnt over the past few years and apply it to the architecture and landscape of Yorkshire.
What I loved most was becoming lost in a space - not physically, but losing time. My future husband and I would spend hours at each location, separately moving from one column or window or rock to another... each with our own interpretation behind the lens. After this trip, I knew I'd be back to Europe for more exploration.
