My first trip to Ireland was in 2008 - a trip for which I bought my first digital SLR, and a trip which made me decide to be more serious about photography. I set the camera to Auto, and used some of the pre-set modes, and off I went. Little did I know the trip was a ultimately doomed. After the first week my friend and I decided to travel to Skellig Michael - now made more well-know because of Star Wars. We made it up the mountain fine, but on the way down my friend slipped and broke his kneecap, cutting short our Ireland trip.
These photographs are from my second trip; I was nervous that my husband and I might somehow suffer a similar fate, but instead our 3 weeks were filled with great weather (hardly any rain - Ireland was experiencing a heat wave when we went), and great photography. I loved Ireland. I'm not sure what else to say! Ireland is a place I plan to travel to again - in fact, I'm returning there in June 2016.
