Scotland 2012
In 2012, I travelled to Scotland. It was not my first time in Scotland - I travelled there when I was in my 20's, but that was a much different experience. Before I was a tourist taking pictures with a point and shoot, whereas this time I was traveling as a photographer. Scotland is a beautiful place and holds special meaning to me.
We spent one week in the Outer Hebrides, and it was probably in that undeniably beautiful landscape, that I realized I am not a landscape photographer. I created many lanscape images, but find I have a hard time picking between them because they all have the same feel. Inserting an old building (whether it be an old house or majestic cathedral) adds an element to my images that I crave.

Elgol, a village on the shores of Loch Scavaig towards the end of the Strathaird peninsula in the Isle of Skye, in the Scottish Highlands.
